Powering Apps with AI

You heard of Power Apps and you've probably heard of AI Builder. You know where we're going with this, right? This is yet another Open AI session. But this one will have live demos, everything can go wrong, and you can't miss that, can you?
Disclaimer: Be nice to AI... AI knows who you are and it will spare you when it takes over the world.

Hacking Azure

Everything is hackable, so why not the cloud?
If you're running environments in any cloud, what can you do to protect yourself against attacks?
Disclaimer: Clouds are made of H₂O and they can easily be hacked into H₂ and O₂. With a bit more effort, your job can be hacked as well.

Energise Your Power Platform and AI Skills Workshop

This interactive workshop, mostly demo-driven and suitable for beginners, will introduce you to Microsoft's Power Platform services, as well as cover integrations with other Microsoft 365 and Azure services (including Azure AI Services and OpenAI). Major technologies covered:

Azure AI Workshop

This workshop will introduce you to Machine Learning and AI services and tools in Azure. The session will cover Azure Machine Learning, Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark using Azure Databricks, describe other alternatives for machine learning (HDInsight, SQL Server Machine Learning services, etc.), Cognitive Services, Azure Bots and Power Virtual Agents, providing for hands-on experience as well.

Machine learning is a data science technique that allows computers to use existing data to forecast future behaviour, outcomes, and trends. By using machine learning, computers learn without being explicitly programmed. Forecasts or predictions from machine learning can make apps and devices smarter. For example, when you shop online, machine learning helps recommend other products you might want based on what you've bought. Or when your credit card is swiped, machine learning compares the transaction to a database of transactions and helps detect fraud. And when your robot vacuum cleaner vacuums a room, machine learning helps it decide whether the job is done.

Azure Machine Learning, Azure Synapse Analytics and Spark using Azure Databricks are cloud services that you can use to train, deploy, automate, and manage machine learning models, all at the broad scale that the cloud provides.

Azure Cognitive Services are APIs/SDKs/services available to help developers build intelligent applications without the need for AI or data science skills/knowledge. Azure Cognitive Services enable developers to easily add cognitive features such as emotion and video detection; facial, speech, and vision recognition; and speech and language understanding – into their applications. The goal of Azure Cognitive Services is to help developers create applications that can see, hear, speak, understand, and even begin to reason. Azure Bots and Microsoft 365 Power Virtual Agents use these cognitive services integrated with the Bot Framework to provide a conversational experience that tries to resemble human interaction. Bot can be deployed in channels such as Teams, Slack, Skype, Facebook, Alexa, IoT, or any other you can imagine.

Attendees that want to try the examples during the workshop need to have:
* Laptop;
* Have an Azure subscription (e.g. set up a free trial at https://azure.com/free , use an Azure Pass free trial, or use a paid subscription);
* Your preferred development IDE (e.g. Visual Studio 2019 Community Edition or Visual Studio Code) already installed, to access online webservices;
* Excel (2013 or more recent).
Note: For cognitive services C# examples will be covered, but equivalent examples exist in other programming languages.

Contents:
1. Introduction to Machine Learning (generic - from scratch, no pre-requisite needed);
2. Introduction to Azure Machine Learning technologies: Azure Machine Learning, Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark with Azure Databricks, HDInsight, SQL Server ML Services with R or Python, etc.;
3. Introduction to Azure Cognitive Services;
4. Introduction to Azure Bots, Power Virtual Agents and the Bot Framework.

Cosmos DB: An Azure Odyssey

[Node.js edition]
In the vast IT Universe, there are two dominant types of particles: the SQL electron and the NoSQL positron. Everyone has seen SQL, but not many have seen NoSQL, or even understand it.
Spark your imagination in an IT Universe where replication works at a magical quantum level, and Node.js planets coexist with Cosmos DB star clusters.
Disclaimer: Mixing SQL electrons with NoSQL positrons may lead to the destruction of the known universe. Doing it right however, you can create the brightest supernovas!

If a computer can understand, why can't YOU understand Azure Cognitive Services?

Cognitive services can recognise objects, faces, describe images, understand speech, perform advanced searches and so much more.
If you are a developer and know nothing about Azure Cognitive Services for free, this is a good place to start.
Disclaimer: Cognitive services will never guess a doctor's handwriting. That's just impossible.

Hacking SQL Server Is Not Enough

This is a demo-driven session, suited for DBAs, developers and security consultants.

BI Powers - Realtime Data Without Mystery

The world has been taken hostage by Doctor Evil. Yeah, yeah, that was yesterday. But where is he NOW?
Join us in this session to see how to use IoT real time data to find Dr.Evil's and his pussy cat, using Power BI, Azure Machine Learning and Cognitive Services.
Всеки знае, че котето е по-умно от Doctor Evil, някой наистина трябва да му каже.

IoT Wars: Revenge of the Full Stack, an Azure Story

You live in Tatooine. You have moisture vaporators and some droids. You need to connect them to the rebellion cloud and do some BI and Machine Learning stuff.
In this session we'll see a complete implementation of IoT, from data collection to data storage to data processing to data presentation.
Disclaimer: Any droids mentioned in this session aren't the ones your looking for.

Azure Machine Learning and Cognitive Services [WORKSHOP]

This training will introduce you to machine learning tools and AI services on Azure. The session will cover Azure ML Studio, Azure ML Service, Cognitive Services tools and will provide for hands-on experience as well.

Azure Machine Learning (Studio and Service) are cloud services that you use to train, deploy, automate, and manage machine learning models, all at the broad scale that the cloud provides.

Azure Cognitive Services are APIs, SDKs, and services available to help developers build intelligent applications without having direct AI or data science skills or knowledge.

Attendees that want to try the examples during the workshop need to bring:
* Laptops
* Have an Azure subscription (e.g. a paid subscription, a free trial or an Azure Pass free trial);
* Your preferred development IDE (e.g. Visual Studio 2017 or 2019) already installed, to access online webservices;
* Excel (2013 or more recent);
Note: C# examples will be covered, but the webservices can work with any language in your applications.

Contents:
* Intro to Machine Learning
* Azure Machine Learning (Studio and Service)
* Intro to Azure Cognitive Services
* Integrating Azure Cognitive Services and Azure Machine Learning with your current apps

BI Powers - The A.I. Who Tagged Me

So everyone knows how to make some nice graphs in Power BI from Excel or SQL Server... But what about getting "intelligent" results from unusual data sources?
Disclaimer: A.I. will eventually take over the world. Unlike Doctor Evil, it won't ask for a ransom.
