Fusion Tech Fest is a conference and hackathon by GenZtechies and CodeSpace, for Gen-Zs in tech that attracts thousands of developers, designers, corporate organizations, and people in tech across Africa and beyond. 

This year, Fusion Tech Fest remains a unique 2-in-1 hybrid experience, which would feature networking sessions, conversations, keynotes, and workshops around existing and emerging technologies.

What to expect

• 4 Days of back-to-back events: Three impactful days of building at the hackathon, concluded by a conference
• 2,500+ Attendees in-person & virtually: Diverse individuals across different fields of technology, from developers to VCs
• 20+ talks & product showcases presented by experts and thought leaders in tech across Africa and beyond

What are we looking for?

• Expertise: We are seeking speakers with expertise and experience in the field of technology. Speakers should possess in-depth knowledge and insights into relevant topics and trends within the industry.
  
  
• Diversity: We value diversity and inclusion and encourage speakers from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences to apply. We aim to create a conference program that represents the diversity of our audience and promotes inclusivity within the design and tech community.
  
  
• Relevance: Proposed presentations should be relevant and aligned with the conference theme and topics. Speakers are encouraged to propose innovative and engaging session ideas that address current challenges, emerging trends, and best practices in design and technology.
  
  
• Originality: We are looking for original and thought-provoking content that offers unique perspectives and insights. Speakers should avoid recycling previously delivered presentations and instead propose fresh and compelling ideas for their sessions.
  
  
• Interactivity: We value interactive and engaging presentations that encourage audience participation and interaction. Speakers are encouraged to incorporate interactive elements such as Q&A sessions, live demonstrations, group activities, and audience polls to enhance the attendee experience.
  
  
• Practicality: Presentations should offer practical takeaways and actionable advice that attendees can apply to their work or projects. Speakers should strive to deliver valuable and actionable insights that empower attendees to enhance their skills and achieve their goals.
  
  
• Professionalism: Speakers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and adhere to the conference's code of conduct and guidelines. Presentations should be well-prepared, organized, and delivered with clarity and professionalism.
  
  
• Commitment: Selected speakers are expected to commit to attending and presenting at the conference on the specified dates and times. Speakers should be prepared to fulfill their speaking obligations and actively engage with attendees before, during, and after their presentations.
  
  
• Collaboration: Speakers should be open to collaborating with conference organizers and fellow speakers to ensure the success of the event. This may include participating in pre-conference planning meetings, coordinating presentation logistics, and supporting promotional efforts.
