When writing your proposal, please tailor it to a specific audience level:

  • Beginners - Engineers who are new to MongoDB. You’ll want to introduce key concepts, help them get started, and show them how to continue their learning journey.
  • Intermediate - These engineers have already built and shipped an MVP. They’re ready to dive deeper to learn about using MongoDB at scale.
  • Advanced - These engineers have built and maintain MongoDB applications at scale. They are veterans, but you’re going to teach them something new.

Your submission

Our reviewers have to read through a lot of of submissions. Here are some tips to make sure yours is successful:

  • Title - Puns, creative wordplay, and “hooks” in titles are okay, but make sure that if all someone knew was the title, they still would have some idea what the presentation is about.
  • Description - Use the description to explain what the problem is. How did you solve it? Please give us tons of examples what you’d talk about.
  • Notes - You can use the notes to explain the details of your talk in a bit more conversational way. Share your experience with the problem, give us the outline of your talk, or explain why MongoDB World would be less without your talk.

The program committee consist of 30+ MongoDB employees, partners, customers, and community members. All speaker information like name, bio, and company name is hidden from the committee and we’ll grade the sessions based on the content. After the call for speakers closes, we’ll discuss the highest voted submissions and committee member favorites for each track. From there, we’ll put together the program. All speaker submissions will receive an answer from us by mid-March.
