In this session, we will take a look at the history of Information Protection within Microsoft 365. We will take you through it's journey from Rights Management (which is still present within Microsoft 365 to this day), to Azure Information Protection which enables the classification and protection of sensitive emails and documents, Unified labelling in the Security and Compliance Center, and how to track and revoke protected content. We will also examine the recent and upcoming advancements within Information Protection (including the availability of sensitivity labelling at a container level within Teams, SharePoint, and M365 Groups), how MIP is licensed, and what we can expect to come on the Microsoft roadmap for this increasingly essential Security and Compliance feature set.
