Tiago Costa is a Senior Cloud Architect and Advisor focusing on Microsoft Azure, International Speaker, Trainer and Author. For the past 20 years has been architecting and developing solutions using Microsoft technologies. In the last years Tiago have been helping companies to migrate and build Cloud native workloads in Microsoft Azure. Tiago has been working as at the Senior Architect level, but he always like to do some hands-on tasks on the Azure Administration and Development side of things. You can find him regularly in the classroom or online teaching Microsoft Azure. All this real-world experience allows him to deliver amazing trainings on Microsoft Azure.

Running http-based applications in Azure PaaS - Azure App Service edition!
Every day more and more organizations understand the benefits of PaaS and are building and moving workloads to PaaS services like Azure App Services.
In this demo-depend session, we will check how to run http-based applications in Azure App Service. We start with a repo in Azure DevOps or GitHub, use Pipelines or Actions to deploy both the app and the infrastructure to Azure. Then we will explore other features like custom domains, certificates, configurations, scaling, and how to distribute the app around multiple Azure regions. This is not the end there is still time to demo how to integrate our application with Azure Key Vault using Azure AD Managed Identities to improve security.

Top 10 services to Supercharge your App Service to a Global scale
When architecting applications today, making then globally available is the standard. When designing the infrastructure for a new application we need to start from the premises that we have a global disperse customer base. This is a good challenge for Azure Architects. Microsoft Azure is an amazing platform, and, in a few minutes, you can deploy an infrastructure of multiple services and/or virtual machines to support a workload. If this is not done using structured and repeatable processes, we can end up with extra costs, orphan services, subscriptions, etc…
This session shows how to use BICEP and ARM Templates for consistent and repeatable deployments. During this demo-dependent session, we are going to check how to use Azure DevOps Repos to control the versioning of ARM and BICEP Templates and Azure Pipelines to deploy then. Adopting the cloud is a journey, not a destination; this session will guide you through Azure Governance best practices and how to build a Governance strategy from scratch keeping the organization on a safe path throughout its Cloud journey.
