As a software engineer and AWS solution architect, I navigate both the realms of backend and frontend technos, while leveraging the vast ecosystem of Amazon Web Services.

DynamoDB Deep Dive

Amazon DynamoDB is a fully managed, serverless NoSQL database. It automatically scales to adjust for capacity and maintains performance with built-in availability, tolerance and zero administration.

In this technical session, we will deep dive into the features of DynamoDB and how it can be used to build modern, serverless applications with mission-critical workloads that can scale globally to support petabytes of data and tens of millions of read/write per second.

Encryption in AWS

Encryption is the pillar when ensuring data security. AWS provides the ability to add a layer of security in our architectures. In this session, some features such as Key Management, Client Side Encryption, Server Side Encryption will be discussed and how to ensure a secure cloud architecture when those features are used alongside with other AWS services: Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, SQS (message queue), DynamoDB (NoSQL DB), AWS Secrets Manager and more..

Securing Angular 5 application with AWS-Cognito

An introduction to Angular 5 and how it empowers developers to build web applications. An overview on AWS-Cognito and the way it manages User and Identity Pools in order to secure an application and its API.

A live coding session where a simple Angular 5 application will be built. AWS Cognito will be used for user authentication where a JSON Web Token will be assigned to the user from the User Pool. This JSON Web Token will be used as a medium to secure the API defined in the API Gateway and to access other AWS services such as S3 and DynamoDB.

Chalice, Python Serverless Framework, will be used to deploy the REST API using the Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda.

Amazon Web Services - A Leading Cloud Platform

Amazon Web Services is a cloud service from Amazon which provides a range of services where each type of service is categorized under a domain . In this session, some widely used domains such as Compute, Database, Storage, Networking, Messaging will be discussed giving the audience a good introductory about Amazon Web Services

This session will need around 1 hr 15 mins to be covered. The audience do not specifically need any knowledge about Amazon Web Services as the presentation will cover all the basics.
