The Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children (VAAEYC) is accepting proposals for workshops to be held at the 2024 Annual Conference, March 14 - 16, 2024 in Roanoke, VA.
VAAEYC’s Annual Conference brings together early childhood educators from across the Commonwealth and beyond and is seeking talented presenters with knowledge to share!
This conference will be in person and there is a chance of offering a few prerecorded workshops for those unable to travel to Roanoke, VA.
The conference is held over three days and these are some of the topics the Conference Circle is seeking:
- Social Emotional
- Empathy - Developmentally Appropriate Practices
- Equity and Diversity
- Family Support and Connection
- Professionalism
- Children's Physical and Cognitive Development
- Leadership
- Program Management
- Inclusion of Children with Special Needs
- Observing and Recording Children's Learning
VAAEYC is seeking sessions that can be approved for CEU and are offered in 60 or 90 minute time blocks. There is a possibility of 2 hr in-depth sessions being offered on Thursday, March 14 if you have an excellent workshop to propose.
Please note that VAAEYC does not provide honorarium for workshops, but we do offer complimentary conference registration for the lead presenter.

Modifications may be made to online submissions only until the deadline date of Friday, September 1, 2023. Acceptance notification will be made on a rolling basis through November 1, 2023.
Incomplete proposal submissions will not be considered. All information is required to have workshops approved for CEU. All lead presenters are given complimentary registration to attend the full VAAEYC Conference, but no other honorarium or reimbursement is offered. Officially listed co-presenters are given a modest discount on advanced registration.
