365PDX is an online conference about Microsoft's Modern Workplace tools: Office 365, Azure, Power Platform, Teams, Power BI, Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft technologies from the Portland and Pacific NW IT community.

Never heard of this event? It's new! This event is a rebranding of the Portland SharePoint User Group annual conference, formerly known as "SharePointlandia" or SharePoint Saturday Portland. We've updated the name to better reflect the types of technologies presented at this conference, as we've moved far beyond the scope of just SharePoint.

Important Details

We still start announcing selected presentations by mid November, with submissions closing at the end of November.

Sessions should be approximately 60-minutes in length including the Q&A.

The actual event will be hosted on Microsoft Teams.

Who attends?

Our community is IT professionals from pacific northwest businesses. Most of our community comes from the Portland SharePoint User Group and Office 365 User Group with this event being open to the general public and promoted across all of the Microsoft Communities in the pacific northwest. In past years our in-person event on a Saturday averaged 200-250 people, we're not sure how many will register this year as hosting this online is brand new. Attendance has included college students, Chief Information Officers, Business Analysts, IT Managers, .NET Developers, Systems Admins, SQL Server DBAs, Unified Communications professionals, and more!

What type of presentation should I submit?

We are seeking presentations on all types of Microsoft business technologies, including Office 365, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 (mostly Power Platform, but we're open to ideas), Azure, and other relevant technologies. In addition, we're open to presentations on soft skills and professional development as they relate to IT professionals. Historically the presentations featured at our conference have included lots of Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, Azure, Mixed Reality, OneDrive, Search, Active Directory, and others as they relate to collaboration, communication, or automation.

How are speakers selected?

Speakers are selected by the Portland SharePoint User Group board members. Historically we've prioritized new speakers from within our local community.

How is this online conference going to work?

We will definitely be using Microsoft Teams. Either we will be using one Microsoft Teams environment or several.
