Call for Speakers: Virtual Student, Recent Graduate, and APC Conference
Theme: Building Bridges to Connect
We are excited to invite students, recent graduates (within the last five years), and associate professional counselors (APCs) to submit proposals for presentations at our upcoming virtual conference. This event is dedicated to celebrating the diversity within our field and fostering connections among emerging professionals.
Eligibility and Requirements:
Speakers: Must be a student, doctoral student, unlicensed recent MA graduate, recent doctorate level graduate (licensed/Unlicensed) or an associate professional counselor (APC).
Advising Co-Presenter: Each speaker must have a fully licensed practitioner, clinical supervisor, or professor serve as an advising co-presenter. The advising co-presenter will review the presentation to ensure its appropriateness and provide support if needed. The advising co-presenter is not required to present.
Content Requirement: Each presentation should include an element that addresses diversity or multicultural aspects within the topic. For example, if presenting on diagnosing major depression, one slide could focus on diversity or multicultural issues related to the diagnosis. It is not necessary for the entire presentation to focus on diversity or multicultural issues.
Conference Theme:
"Building Bridges to Connect" aims to celebrate the rich tapestry of diversity within our field, recognizing and embracing the multitude of perspectives, ideas, and experiences that contribute to its vibrancy. We welcome presentations that highlight the diverse range of research initiatives, clinical practices, and innovative strides in business development.
Submission Guidelines:
Proposal Submission: Submit a detailed proposal outlining your presentation topic, objectives, and how it aligns with the conference theme.
Diversity Component: Clearly indicate the element of diversity or multiculturalism in your presentation.
Advising Co-Presenter Information: Provide the name, credentials, and contact information of your advising co-presenter and send them a request to join as co-presenter for the presentation. You can do this once you create your account to submit your presentation proposal.
