The annual North Carolina Cybersecurity Symposium sponsored by the North Carolina Partnership for Cybersecurity Excellence [NC PACE], is a community-driven event that encourages collaboration and creates a spirit of innovation among participants, presenters, and our sponsors.

The event will bring together the brightest minds in cybersecurity to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and discuss the latest advancements in the field.

The symposium will feature an amazing line-up of cybersecurity sessions and workshops, a student research track, an Education Showcase, and much more!

On behalf of the North Carolina Partnership for Cybersecurity Excellence (NC-PACE) and North Carolina State University, we invite researchers, practitioners, and experts in the field of cybersecurity to submit abstracts of their research papers, case studies, and innovative ideas for presentation at North Carolina Cybersecurity Symposium in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The 4th Annual Cybersecurity Symposium is a community-driven event that encourages collaboration and creates a spirit of innovation among participants, presenters, and our sponsors, and will bring together the brightest minds in cybersecurity to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and discuss the latest advancements in the field.

The conference welcomes contributions from a wide range of topics related to cybersecurity, including but not limited to:

AI Security

Digital Forensics

Cyber Threat Intelligence

Network Security

Information Security

Application Security

Cloud Security

IoT Security

Incident Response and Recovery

Emerging Threats

Cybersecurity Education and Workforce Development


All submissions will be reviewed by the conference's program committee, composed of experts in the field. Submissions may be for 45-minutes for sessions to be held on Feb. 20th, and/or workshops (2 - 3 hours) to be held on Feb. 21st. Student researcher sessions will occur on Feb. 20th.

Best ways to get selected to speak: Select a topic relevant to the security industry. It can be technical or non-technical. Propose a talk about something new, or have a fresh, different, or controversial perspective (that you can defend) about an existing topic. No book reports please.

Supply as much detail as possible so the selection committee can see what your major thoughts are. Outlines are welcome.

No vendor pitches, please. Obvious vendor pitches will not be accepted. That said, we certainly understand you might want to mention where you work, but otherwise please keep your talk vendor agnostic.

Please don’t use your name, or alias, in the body of the paper. This is to ensure that submissions are selected in a fair and unbiased way.

Other details

Submit something quickly and second-guessing yourself? Speakers will be able to edit their submissions up to the close of the CFP process.NC-PACE would like permission to distribute your presentation to event registrants.

Speakers receive free admission to both days of the event. Travel compensation will not be provided.
