SPEAKER SELECTION DETAILS:
All speakers are evaluated on their expertise and what topics they can speak to. The number of track sessions and presentations changes from event to event and the number of speakers fluctuates to reflect that. We make every effort to contact successful applicants a minimum of 1-2 months before each event. However, there may be additional opportunities that arise prior an event for which additional speaker applicants may be contacted.
Selected speakers for the conference will include both those who have been cannabis industry speakers at past events and those who have not, as well as those who come from a diverse range of geographic regions. We are looking specifically for content relevant to the cannabis industry and the consumers and patients located in the US markets. To be considered for a cannabis industry speaker role, complete the speaker application.
Solo presentations should be planned out to last between 30-45 minutes (depending on the topic and structure of the session), followed by Q&A from the audience. We will also assemble panel-style sessions and may ask that you alter your presentation to fit a different style.
Cannabis industry speakers MUST abide by a “no pitching” policy. Presentations are meant to be educational and cannot include information on speaker’s professional background, personal expertise and/or company history.
Cannabis industry speakers who are selected must agree to follow specific guidelines on crafting their presentations and compiling PowerPoint presentations. A Speaker Agreement and PowerPoint Template will be provided to you. CannaOne reserves the right of final approval on all content for speakers and may require revisions during the process.
Please note that CannaOne does not provide speaker stipends or travel reimbursements. This helps us keep ticket prices low and accessible to the broadest audience for the event and your session.
