The West Africa Internet Governance Forum (WAIGF) 2025 will be held in Nigeria, from May 22 to 23, 2025, with pre-events on May 21, including the West Africa Youth IGF. The West Africa School of Internet Governance (WASIG) will take place from May 19 to 21. A parliamentary track will run concurrently with the forum, featuring members of Parliament from the region.

The West Africa Internet Governance Forum (WAIGF) 2025 invites proposals for sessions, workshops, and presentations under the theme:
"Building a Resilient, Inclusive, and Safe Digital Future for West Africa."
Sub-themes
- Enhancing Digital Resilience: Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and Online Safety – Addressing cybersecurity threats, online safety, privacy risks, and digital trust.
- Digital Public Infrastructure, Policy Harmonization, and Digital Cooperation (WSIS+20, GDC, OEWG, SDGs 2030) – Exploring policy alignment, governance frameworks, and global cooperation.
- AI, Data Governance, and Innovation for Development – Examining national AI strategies, data governance, and emerging technologies for economic growth.
Submission Details
- Formats: Panels, Workshops, Roundtables, Research Presentations, Fireside Chats, Lightning Talks.
- Languages: English or French.
- Duration: 60–90 minutes.
