Women Techmakers - International Women’s Day Budapest

event date

20 Mar 2021

The first ever International Women’s Day Budapest event, organized by Women Techmakers Budapest and GDG Budapest in cooperation with GDG Jeddah.

Since 2013, the global Women Techmakers team has convened over 200 global events across 52 countries annually to drive visibility, community, and resources for women in technology in honor of International Women’s Day (IWD).

Each of the summits and meetups around the world are tailored to local communities of women in technology and may feature hands-on coding workshops, inspiring speakers, and networking opportunities.

Google supports and celebrates women in technology through numerous initiatives, including the Small Business Supplier Diversity and Accelerate with Google programs, the Google Cultural Institute, our Women@ employee resource group, and more. International Women’s Day is an important moment to recognize how women have influenced the tech industry and beyond.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is marked on March 8th every year. In different regions, the focus of celebrations ranges from general respect and appreciation for women to a celebration of women’s economic, political, and social achievements.

The first International Women’s Day Budapest takes place on 20th March.
