New to MWCKL?

Modern Work Conference Kuala Lumpur (MWCKL), former iterations aMPKL, aMSKL, aOSKL is a community-led, in-person conference in Kuala Lumpur for professionals working with Microsoft’s modern work stack—Microsoft 365, Azure, security, collaboration, and related solutions. Rooted in the international aMP/aMS/aOS community, the conference keeps the same spirit: independent, non-profit, and focused on sharing practical knowledge, real-world experience, and peer learning across the ecosystem

MWCKL 2026 will be an in-person event, and as such we will be looking for in-person speakers only

You can checkout our previous in person event aMSKL 2024 here. https://2024.ampkl.com/

2023 : https://vimeo.com/881335511

2022 : https://vimeo.com/783467111

Overseas speakers may also wish to apply for other aMS conferences held as part of the South Asia Tour

- MWC Manila 29 September https://sessionize.com/MWCManila-2026

- MWC KL 1st October (This Event)

- MWC Colombo 6 October (Planned)

This seems to be the optimal set of dates taking into consideration holidays in the respective countries. Airasia flies MNL-KUL-CMB which makes speaking at all 3 conferences easier.

Please go to the specific CFS sites to apply for the other cities as and when they open.

MWC KL as usual will have 18 speaking slots over 3 tracks.

About Modern Work Community (MWC)

Modern Work Community exists to advance real‑world practice and peer learning around Microsoft 365 and the Modern Work platform.

We are a practitioner‑first community built by professionals who design, implement, operate, and live with Modern Work solutions in real organizations. Our members share what actually works—along with what doesn’t—so others can learn faster and do better work.

Our focus is not hype, not sales, and not vendor marketing. Instead, we center on practical experience, lessons learned, and meaningful technical and operational insight drawn from the field.

The community’s roots trace back to the global aOS → aMS → aMP movement, from which Modern Work Community evolved. Over the years, this lineage has supported community‑led events across cities worldwide—including India, Singapore, Berlin, France, Switzerland, Colombo, Manila, Seoul, and beyond—covering Microsoft 365, Azure (in support of Modern Work), and the Power Platform.

Today, Modern Work Community continues that legacy with a clear identity, consistent standards, and a commitment to practitioner‑led knowledge sharing.

Speaker Guidelines & Expectations

  • In‑person sessions only
  • This is an in‑person event. We are unable to support remote/virtual sessions, and we do not cover travel, accommodation, or meal expenses. All related costs will be borne by the speakers themselves.

Session focus

  • We are looking for sessions that focus on, or strongly complement, Microsoft 365 and the Modern Work platform.
  • This includes Microsoft AI technologies such as Copilot (Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio) and related Microsoft AI capabilities (e.g., Azure AI, Foundry)—when they are clearly applied in real Modern Work scenarios.
  • Sessions should emphasize practical use, implementation experience, governance, adoption, or operational lessons, rather than product announcements or marketing narratives.

Audience profile (important)

Please note that approximately 80% of the Malaysia SMB market is not yet using Microsoft 365. As a result, many attendees will be:

  • Basic users of the Modern Work stack, or
  • Individuals exploring Microsoft 365 and Microsoft AI as part of their learning or onboarding journey
We encourage speakers to choose topics that are accessible, practical, and broadly relevant, while still delivering meaningful insights and real‑world value.

Session submissions
We recommend submitting 1–2 session proposals to give the selection team options.

However, depending on the number of submissions, we will generally select a maximum of one session per speaker, to allow more community members the opportunity to present.

Who can submit
You do not need to be a Microsoft MVP or a regular speaker to submit.
We welcome submissions from anyone with an interesting, experience‑based topic.
We strongly encourage participation from speakers with diverse backgrounds, roles, and perspectives.

Audience tracks
We are looking for content aligned to the following audience types:

Business
IT Professionals
Developers
