The Analysis, Design, & Architecture Conference (ADAConf) is an off-shoot of the Domain-Driven Design Australia community, and is dedicated to the mission of re-focussing software development conversations around building robust, resilient and responsive software. We are a community led conference, with our community members being active in diverse local communities in Australia. Some of our community members have deep technical expertise in a specific technologies, while others bring broad expertise across tech-stacks.

We want this conference to be a confluence of ideas at the intersection of philosophy and technology, challenging the existing tech culture. Let's talk about  problem solving, modelling and analysis, design practices, socio-technical system architecture and everything in between! We aim to create a collaborative learning space, and bring together engineers, architects, business analysts and product people.

Welcome to the call for speaker page for ADAConf 2024, and thank you for your interest in submitting to our conference. The conference is a one-day, two track conference, with one track focussed on talks, and the second track on hands-on labs/workshops. We’re accepting submissions for the following formats:

Hands-on lab/workshop: 2 hours

Session talks: 25/40 minutes

Lightning talks: 10 minutes

Panel discussion: Topic and questions for a moderated panel discussion

One additional co-speaker is allowed for the 40 minute session talks and the hand-on lab/workshop

Our aim is to be a confluence of ideas on topics related to analysis, design and architecture, and encourage submissions ranging from talks about specific technology problems and how you solved them, as well as abstract ideas at the intersection of technology and philosophy.

We will regrettably be rejecting any marketing/sales pitches. If your organisation is aligned to the mission of our conference and would like to support us, we’d love to collaborate.  Get in touch at ada.confau@gmail.com.

What we want to talk about

  • Techniques that bridge the gap between business and technology
  • Talk to us about systems thinking, product design, visual collaboration, and ideas around socio-technical architecture
  • Case studies and experience reports
  • Tell us about a time you failed and what you learnt from it
  • Tell us about an experiment you setup and what you learnt from it
  • Challenge conventionally accepted ideas that help shape the technology culture of tomorrow
