Android Makers brings in Paris the world class experts in Android for 2 days of sessions, workshops and showcases.
Welcome to this Call For Speaker.
How the talk selection will be done?
The talks are selected by a committee of Android experts based on multiple criteria, such as topic variety, speaker experience, description, slides when available, diversity of opinions, relevance to the audience, etc...
You can find out more in the medium article we published last year.
What are my chances to be selected?
Last year, we accepted around 27% of the proposed talks (69 slots for 253 submissions).
To increase your chances:
* ie: "I write library A; here is a behind the scenes/why session", "I shipped to production an app with library A: here is what I learn", "workshop: hands-on to discover library A", "Advance use of library A features", "library A featuring library B", "let's build XYZ with library A," etc.
When will I know if I am selected?
The Call for Speaker will close on January, 20th. The first talk acceptations will be sent within the following days and we plan to send most of the acceptations before mid-February.
Do you cover the trip expenses?
Short answer: no.
Android Makers is a community event at its core and we really want to keep the event affordable and inclusive to our attendees. As a consequence, we have a very constrained budget. We will try our best to accommodate the specific cases but can't promise anything. If you think you are in this scenario please tell us within the "Notes to organizer".
Unfortunately if you must have an expense coverage to be able to come, even if it won’t be taken into consideration when reviewing your submission, it may reduce your chances to be selected for the final schedule.
Can the talk description contain rich text?
Unfortunately markdown or HTML is not supported.
Can I send you a private message with my submission?
Yes, there is a private note for organiser.
