The Automation + DevOps Summit 2021 will take place November 2-4, 2021 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel in beautiful downtown Nashville, TN. Automation and DevOps experts from across the country will convene for three days of learning, sharing, and networking with other DevOps and Automation professionals.

The Automation Summit is the place to explore and further your knowledge of DevOps principles and practices in a cross-platform environment. Join us for a chance to make new connections, learn new techniques, and take back new ideas to your peers and colleagues. We're looking for persons with Automation or DevOps expertise who want to share their ideas and expertise with the community. We're planning to host at least 40 sessions on various content related to automation or DevOps concepts.

Covid Disclaimer: We are closely evaluating multiple scenarios for an in-person Nashville event in November as we monitor the ongoing Covid pandemic and vaccine timeline. We will only move forward with an in-person event if we believe it is safe for our attendees, staff, and partners.

What are we looking for?

We look for an abstract that’s compelling and makes us want to see your session - so spend time writing a great abstract! We want sessions that offer real-world usability combined with “WOW, nobody talks about THAT” awesomeness. We want to see the code and we want to hear your story!

Stories where everything works out perfectly, are great, but we also want to hear genuine stories where you tried to do something, and it didn’t necessarily go according to plan but you cobbled it together. 300/400 level content is also encouraged.

Summit presentations often have plenty of audience interaction. You should expect questions and discussions. This is not a “lecture to the audience” event.

Also, First-time speakers are encouraged to submit. We are happy to provide coaching for first-time speakers to help you get ready. Our goal is to have 1/3 of the conference speakers be first-time presenters. If you have any questions about the suitability of a particular session, please contact us via content@automationsummit.org, and we’d be happy to discuss your proposed sessions.

Below is a list of topics that we are interested in having sessions for. If you have something else that you think we should consider, please don’t let this list dissuade you.

  • CI/CD
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • Monitoring/Observability
  • Cloud Transformation
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Microservices
  • Cultural Change
  • Multiple submissions are appreciated
