We are seeking passionate individuals with extensive knowledge and experience in various aspects of AWS Infrastructure, Local Zones, and Generative AI. If you have successfully implemented AWS solutions in these areas, particularly in a real-world project context, and are eager to share your insights and best practices with the community, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss.

Event Theme: Next-Gen Solutions: Uniting AWS Infrastructure, Local Zones, and Generative AI for Global Impact

AWS Community Day West Africa 2024 is an exciting opportunity to share your expertise and insights with a vibrant and dynamic community of AWS enthusiasts and professionals. We are seeking speakers who can contribute to our theme: "Next-Gen Solutions: Uniting AWS Infrastructure, Local Zones, and Generative AI for Global Impact."

Speaker Submission Guidelines:

Focus Areas: We are specifically looking for presentations that delve into AWS Infrastructure, AWS Local Zones, and Generative AI. Your talk should offer valuable insights, best practices, and lessons learned, ideally tied to real-world projects and current industry trends.

Relevance: Ensure your presentation is highly relevant to the theme and includes practical applications. Case studies, success stories, and hands-on demonstrations are highly encouraged.

Industry Trends: Highlight how your work aligns with the latest industry trends and addresses real-world challenges. We want our attendees to leave with actionable knowledge and inspiration.

Submission Details:

Presentation Title: Craft a compelling title that captures the essence of your talk.

Abstract: Briefly summarize your presentation (150-250 words), clearly outlining the key takeaways and relevance to the theme.

Speaker Bio: Share your background, expertise, and any previous speaking experience. This helps us understand your qualifications and perspective.

Important Information:

Travel & Accommodation: Unfortunately, we are not able to cover for travel + hotel expenses but this may be included in our future conferences. We encourage potential speakers to plan accordingly.

What Not to Submit

We want you to be selective in what you submit, so we are putting a few restrictions in place this year:

Introductory-level talks on broadly-deployed technologies, vendor presentations, or purely theoretical architecture talks will not be accepted and may not even be referred to the whole team for review.

We are particularly looking for talks that spark discussion, challenges and hallways exchanges, based on real-world implementations — not just lectures expected to be taken as gospel.

Talks must be submitted by the author / speaker, and not by PR agencies or marketing teams on the speaker’s behalf.

Key Information:

Each session will be 30 minutes with an extra 10 minutes for Quiz (40 minutes in total).
