AWS Community Day Aotearoa is an annual one-day, user-run AWS technical conference that is planned, organized, and delivered by the AWS user group community leaders (much like a “Meetup of Meetups”).
The goal of the Community Day is to facilitate the exchange of information amongst the AWS user community. The presentations are all given by speakers who are fellow AWS users sharing knowledge with their peers.
This year’s event will be the second annual Community Day Aotearoa that will take place in Wellington, New Zealand.
We are looking for any kind of session provided from the community for the community. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your work and connect with fellow AWS enthusiasts from the New Zealand AWS community.
Whether you're an AWS-certified professional, a developer, or a researcher, we want to hear from you. Share your case studies, deep-dive technical sessions, or hands-on workshops with our audience and help them learn and grow.
We welcome sessions around all topics related to AWS like e.g. cloud-native software development, container technologies, big data, IoT and machine learning, innovative applications and architectures, security, …
Regular sessions should aim for a ~30min talking time followed by a 5-10 minutes Q&A.
This will be an in-person event and you should be able to come to Wellington. Please note, that we unfortunately can't cover any expenses as this event is community organised and free.
We especially welcome speaker from all kinds of background and strive to make this an open, safe and supportive environment for the entire and diverse AWS community.
If you need any more clarification or have questions or ideas, don't hesitate to contact our Speaker Coordinator - Gleidson Nascimento (enquiries@awsug.nz).
