Azure Lean Coffee

Online

Azure Lean Coffee is a monthly online event where you can discuss topics related to Microsoft Azure, cloud computing, and DevOps with other professionals and enthusiasts.

Hosted by Azure MVP Daniel McLoughlin and Solutions Architect Rukaya Ogazi-Khan, this event follows the Lean Coffee format, which is a structured but agenda-less meeting where participants propose and vote on topics, and then have timeboxed conversations about them.

Lean Coffee is a meeting facilitation technique that allows participants to create and vote on an agenda based on their interests and needs. It is a structured, but agenda-less way of having productive and engaging conversations.

To run an online Lean Coffee session, we set up a Kanban board that has three columns: To Do, Doing, and Done.

In advance of the meeting, and again at the start, we invite our guests to add their discussion points to the To Do column of the board. At the start of the session, when everyone is ready, we hold a voting round, where people can vote on all the topics within the To Do column, which are then rank by popularity.

Topics are then discussed in order of popularity. The Doing column contains the topic that is currently being discussed, with a timer to roughly limit the duration. The Done column contains the topics that have been discussed, along with any action items or key takeaways.

Whether you want to share your experience, ask questions, or learn something new, Azure Lean Coffee is a great opportunity to connect and collaborate with the Azure community.

The events will be live-streamed and recorded, so you can also watch them later at your convenience. Join us for the next Azure Lean Coffee and discover the power of Azure!

Are you interested in being a speaker for Azure Lean Coffee?

Azure Lean Coffee is a monthly online event where we have lively and engaging discussions about Microsoft Azure and related topics. Each event consists of one-hour sessions, where speakers can share their insights, experiences, and questions.

To apply as a speaker, please fill out the form on Sessionize. You will need to provide your name, email, and optionally, a brief description of the topics you may want to discuss. Don't worry about the session title and details, as this is just to help us match you with a suitable event date. We will send you more information about the session format, the event board, and how to connect to StreamYard once you are confirmed as a speaker.

Please note that we have a limited number of speaker slots for each event, so apply early to secure your spot. As a speaker, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise, network with other Azure enthusiasts, and receive feedback from the audience. All sessions will be recorded on StreamYard and live streamed and later hosted on YouTube.

If you have any questions, please contact Daniel McLoughlin. We look forward to hearing from you!
