Help Shape the Future of Business, Product, and AI

The Columbus Chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) invites you to share your expertise at BACon 2027, taking place Friday, February 26, 2027, at the AMC Theatre in Easton Town Center.

BACon has grown beyond traditional business analysis. Today's professionals are navigating rapidly evolving disciplines—from Product Management and Agile delivery to AI, cybersecurity, customer experience, and digital transformation. Our attendees come to learn practical ideas they can put to work immediately, and they're looking for speakers who have real stories, real lessons, and real experience to share.

Whether you've led a successful transformation, learned from a project that didn't go as planned, discovered a new approach using AI, or developed techniques that make teams more effective, we'd love to hear from you.

If your session helps people build better products, deliver better outcomes, or become better professionals, there's a place for it at BACon.

BACon 2027 - Where Business, Product & Technology Leaders Learn Together

Have a story, idea, or lesson worth sharing?

We're looking for practitioners, leaders, and innovators who want to help others solve real problems, discover new approaches, and grow professionally. Whether you've led a successful transformation, experimented with AI, improved product delivery, or learned valuable lessons from a challenging project, we'd love to hear your story.

Our attendees value practical sessions they can immediately apply in their own organizations. If your presentation helps someone become a better analyst, product professional, leader, or change agent; we encourage you to submit.

Two Ways to Share Your Expertise

BACon offers two presentation formats designed to accommodate different learning styles and presentation approaches.

Conference Sessions

Our traditional presentation-style sessions are ideal for sharing ideas, case studies, industry trends, lessons learned, and practical techniques. These presentations should be engaging, interactive, and leave attendees with actionable insights they can apply in their own organizations.

Hands-On Workshops

Workshops provide a more immersive learning experience where attendees actively participate rather than simply listen. Whether you're facilitating exercises, walking participants through a framework, demonstrating AI tools, or teaching a new technique; workshops should emphasize practice, collaboration, and real-world application.

Not sure which format is the best fit for your topic? Submit your idea and indicate your preferred format—we're happy to work with you to find the best experience for both you and our attendees.

Please note: We are not accepting panel discussion submissions this year.

What Makes a Great Submission?

Help us understand why your session belongs on the BACon stage.

Clearly describe your session. A strong abstract quickly explains what attendees will learn and why it matters.

Tell us the takeaway. What practical skills, techniques, or insights will attendees leave with?

Share real-world experience. Case studies, lessons learned, successes, and even failures often make the most engaging sessions.

Set the right expectations. Let us know whether your presentation is best suited for beginner, intermediate, or advanced attendees.

Focus on a single, compelling idea. Clear, well-defined sessions are more memorable than broad overviews.

Why Speak at BACon?

As a BACon speaker, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Share your expertise with a community of business, product, and technology professionals.
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader in the evolving Business Analysis and Product community.
  • Showcase innovative work, successful initiatives, or lessons learned from your organization or clients.
  • Expand your professional network and connect with peers from across the region.
  • Receive complimentary registration to BACon 2026.

Whether this is your first conference presentation or your fiftieth, we encourage you to submit your idea. Some of the highest-rated sessions each year come from practitioners simply sharing what they've learned.

Please note: While conference registration is complimentary for speakers, we are unable to provide travel reimbursement or honorariums.
