Google Developer Groups is a community for tech enthusiasts and developers to connect, learn and grow.
DevFest is a global annual tech conference hosted by the Google Developer Groups (GDG) community. Each DevFest event is crafted by its local organizers to fit the needs and interests of their local developer community.
DevFests are a great way to learn about new technologies, meet other developers, and get involved in the Google developer community. They are also a lot of fun!
What’s at DevFest?
DevFest has been held in Lebanon since 2017, with recent events taking place in both Beirut and Tripoli. DevFest Beirut is organized by GDG Coast Lebanon and DevFest Tripoli is organized by GDG North Lebanon. In 2023, we have received over 2000 applicants interested in attending DevFest Beirut. We were able to accommodate inviting 700 attendees. This year, we are aiming to 1000 attendees!
This year, we will feature 5 parallel different tracks for attendees to choose from.
We highly encourage you to submit various types of sessions. Most of the submissions we receive are for talks, and we want to diversify our program with case studies, workshops, and other formats.

For the upcoming DevFest, we’re welcoming session proposals that are relevant to the tech community and aligned with DevFest mission. Accepted formats include technical talks, workshops, panel discussions, lightning talks, and case studies. Sessions should be engaging, interactive, and offer practical takeaways for developers, designers, students, and professionals at all experience levels.
We prioritize diversity, inclusion, and original content that adheres to GDG community guidelines. Our goal is to curate a high-quality program that inspires and fosters growth within the tech community.
Topics: Web and Mobile Development, AI, ML, Cloud Computing, CI/CD, DevOps, Game Development, Cybersecurity, Emerging Technologies and Best Practices, IoT, Entrepreneurship, Leadership Development, Personal Branding and Networking, Diversity & Inclusion, Negotiation Skills, Team Management, Adaptability and Resilience, Community Building and Growth
If you didn't find your topic above, we still encourage you to apply; we are open to innovative and diverse proposals.
Please note that speaking at DevFest is a volunteer-based contribution. While we do not provide financial compensation, transportation support may be available upon request. Additionally, we do not display company logos for individual speakers unless the company is participating as a partner or sponsor. For partnership or sponsorship inquiries, please contact us directly.
Filling out the application does not guarantee selection. We have limited speaking slots and will carefully review all applications. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by September 30th. We encourage that you apply with more than one topic.
