Dear Scholars, Researchers, Hobbyists and Experts,

It’s time to get ready for BSides Cleveland 2026! You can find us on the Case Western Reserve University campus this year at the Tinkham Veale University Center on September 26th.


What is BSides?

Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening. 


Important Dates:

Deadline for submission: August 22nd, 2026

Notification of acceptance: August 27th, 2026

Deadline for talk summary or bio changes: September 6th, 2026

Theme:

This year, our theme is Solar Punk, or retro-idilic future, to explore what might yet come when technology and information are used with positive intent. Adhering to the theme is NOT A REQUIREMENT, we are simply encouraging a common focus throughout the day.

Potential Topics of Interest:

  • New coding techniques or defenses
  • Zero days
  • Trojans, worms, malware technology
  • New and creative system or web protection techniques
  • Privacy and Societal impacts of Security
  • New vulnerability research
  • Hardware hacking for resusability or new purposes
  • New Encryption, decryption, cracking research
  • Wireless hacking or wireless security
  • Your awesome idea

Guide for Authors:

Authors are encouraged to submit their latest research, case studies, and technological advancements aligned with the conference theme and topics of interest. All sessions this year will be 50 minutes. Workshops or other special interest slots may also be submitted, please call out format and time requested in your proposal.
