The team at BSides Melbourne are dedicated to providing a friendly and welcoming platform for you to present your research and work. We encourage first-time speakers and students as well as new and seasonal professionals to participate. Conference talks will be presented on the weekend of 16 - 17 May 2026.

Timelines
- Applications close: 15th February 2026 @ 11:59 pm AEST.
- Notifications of acceptance will be from 18-24th March 2025
BSides Melbourne has 2 track types:
- Standard Talk - 30 min talk
- Career Track (journey or experience) - 30 min talk
Speaker Mentoring
BSides Melbourne will once again offer a mentoring program for speakers. This program is specifically for those who are new to speaking or cyber. You can also request a mentor later in the submission process.
Our goal is to remove the barriers preventing someone from submitting their work and equip those individuals with the skills they need to present it successfully.
Terms
By submitting your talk, you agree to the following:
- Your talk will detail concepts, ideas, findings, and solutions; be objective and discuss open-source approaches where applicable
- Your talk will NOT include any product or vendor-related pitches
- Talks must only be submitted by the speakers. Absolutely no submissions from PR firms/marketing representatives.
- Employer logo on two slides only: The Introduction and Biography/Who Am I.
