This is a Call for Papers, Talks, and Presentations for BSides San Diego 2026.
B-Sides is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing information security knowledge-sharing through events, conferences, and seminars around the world. Security professionals, researchers, and entrepreneurs have a unique opportunity to connect with experts from across the field, contribute their research, and network with like-minded individuals at a Bsides.
Talks at BSides typically cover a broad range of experience levels and topics, everything from privacy to cloud security to hardware security and everything in between.

Presentation Types:
We are looking for participants to present within one of the following formats:
- New Speakers (20 Minutes) - Topic Briefing
- Full Speakers (45 Minutes) - Topic Presentation or Discussion
-Trainings (60 /120 Minutes)
We are looking for talks and/or trainings in areas like:
- Network Security Tools
- Offensive and Defensive Technologies and Techniques
- Cloud security
- Bugs and Reverse Engineering
- Patching and Enterprise Security techniques
- Incident Handling, Forensics, and related topics
- Mobile Device Security
- Virtualization, Container, and Cloud - - Devsecops
- Security Fundamental Topics
- Infrastructure Security
- Cryptography use and abuse
- Malware, Spyware, Command and Control, etc.
- Web Application Security
- Radio or Wireless Hacking
- Hardware Hacking
- AI, ML, Data Science security
Note: This is not a comprehensive list, If you have a great topic not listed above, please submit it through the CFP system.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
In order to ensure we have the highest quality talks possible, and provide the attendees with great content, the following guidelines will be considered as we go through the selection process:
Priority will be given to NEW content not previously presented at other conferences.
We will reserve a certain number of slots for local San Diego speakers each year.
The more detail put into your submission the higher it will be weighted in the selection process.
If you have presented at BSides San Diego previously, you will be given a more favorable opportunity.
If you intend to discuss a topic that can have any legal or controversial ramifications, please let us know. This does not disqualify, but helps us prepare appropriately.
SPEAKER PRIVILEGES
Selected speakers for BSides San Diego 2026 are entitled to 1 Full Conference Pass for the speaker.
INELIGIBILITY
BSides San Diego is currently unable to sponsor any travel or board to the conference. We also can not sponsor entry to the United States for any International submissions. International candidates must have, or be able to obtain proper entry visas without BSides San Diego involvement to be eligible to present.

Jan 1st 2026 - Submissions closes at 5pm PST
Jan 14th 2026 - CFP committee acceptance notification to speakers and trainers. You will have until the 18th to respond before we more on to the next round.
Jan 20th 2026 - CFP committee second round acceptance notification to speakers and trainers. You will have until 25th to respond
Jan 27th 2026 CFP committee thank you notifications
