For the People, By the People!


​BSidesSLC is a community-driven Cyber Security event tailored to give individuals interested or involved in Security a venue to learn more, network with other like-minded people, and to hone their skills with hands-on activities! The event will span broad experience levels and is friendly to both beginners in the space as well as veteran professionals. Typical content includes talks, workshops, and hands-on competitions.

Call For Papers (CFP)

This is a Call for Everything! Talks, Presentations, Trainings, Workshops, and Community arenas. If you have an idea for Security-related content, we want to hear it!


Talks at BSides typically cover a broad range or experience levels and topics, everything from privacy to cloud security to hardware security and everything in between. Check out BSidesSLC's YouTube channel to see talks from previous years.


Workshops and Trainings will take place on Thursday, April 11th, and Talks will take place on April 12th.


SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We want to ensure that BSidesSLC has the best possible content for attendees. Please consider the following guidelines while submitting your proposal:


  • New content not presented at other conferences will be given priority during the selection process
  • If you have presented at other conferences, please add links to any videos of those presentations
  • The more detail, the better! Paint us a clear picture of your content and what will make it stand out
  • We will not be accepting remote talks this year - please only apply if you plan on presenting your content in person
  • Please advise us if your topic may touch issues that could have legal/controversial consequences so that we can consider those factors accordingly


Schedule:


January 31st - CFP opens


March 1st - Round One of submissions closes at 5pm Mountain Time

March 8th - Round One submissions will hear back from the CFP committee


March 22nd - Round Two of submissions closes at 5pm Mountain Time

March 29th - Round Two submissions will hear back from the CFP committee


April 11th - 12th - Conference!
