Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next big thing are happening

Thank you for submitting a presentation proposal to BSides Manama. We appreciate your time and the ideas to share. Our team will review submissions and notify selected speakers with next steps. If your proposal isn’t selected, we encourage you to reapply in future cycles.

Candidates

We welcome submissions from all individuals passionate about security and privacy: students, hobbyists, researchers, and professionals from both public and private sectors, as well as academia. If you have insights or experiences to share, we would be eager to hear from you.

Presentation details

  • Talks (20 mins. max): recommended 15 min talk + 5 min Q&A
  • Description limit: ≤150 words. Please keep it concise.
  • Must use a visual Slide Deck
  • Content should be Actionable Insights (avoid high-level theory)
  • No Sales Pitches or Product Plugs

Language

The event is held in English. All submissions and talks must be in English.

Suggested topics

  • Trending Information Security or Cyber Security topics, relevant to the current Tech and regional Landscape.

Note: BSides Manama is a vendor neutral, community driven event. No sales pitches or promotional sessions please submit practical, technical, and educational talks that add value to the security community.

Operation

  • Our CFP participants will evaluate all submitted presentations.
  • Acceptance notifications planned 2 weeks prior to the event.
