DevFest Nepal 2026 | Call for Buildathon Facilitators & Mentors

DevFest Nepal 2026 is bringing a different kind of hands-on experience with the Buildathon, where participants don't just learn about technology, they actually build with it!

We're inviting developers, designers, engineers, and community experts to lead interactive Build Zones, guide participants, and help them create a complete end-to-end project.

What is the Buildathon?

The Buildathon is a self-paced, non-competitive building experience where participants explore different technology stations in any order. At each station, participants learn a skill, build a component of a shared project, and earn a stamp in their Build Passport.

This event welcomes both Builders and Developers. Builders are individuals who bring ideas to life using AI-powered tools, regardless of their technical background, while Developers are those who use their programming and technical expertise to build solutions. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, the Buildathon offers a space for everyone to learn, experiment, and create.

By connecting these components, participants leave with a working project they can continue developing after DevFest.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who can:

- Facilitate a Build Zone by guiding participants through a practical, independent learning activity.

- Create hands-on challenges that contribute a working component to the shared starter project.

- Mentor participants as they build, experiment, debug, and integrate their projects.

- Help participants ship something functional that they can take home and improve.

Each activity should be approachable independently, without requiring participants to complete other stations first.

Less slides. More building.

First-Time Facilitators Welcome!

You don't need previous speaking experience. If you're passionate about building, sharing knowledge, and helping others learn, we'd love to have you.

Women and underrepresented community members are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive priority consideration.

Have Another Idea?

Our Build Zones are suggestions, not limitations. If you have an exciting hands-on activity or a technology you'd love to introduce, feel free to propose it!

Let's make DevFest Nepal 2026: Agents of Change - Buildathon a place where everyone leaves having built something.

Whether it's ONE DAY or DAY ONE, you decide.
