GDG Harare invites developers, engineers, and AI practitioners to submit proposals for the Build with AI physical meetup on April 11, 2026.

This event is strategically timed just before the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF). We are looking for technical sessions that don’t just "talk" about AI, but demonstrate how to build industry-ready solutions using Google’s AI stack (Gemini, Vertex AI, and the Agent Development Kit). Our goal is to prepare the community to showcase high-impact prototypes from our local community.

Suggested Topics

We are prioritizing submissions that align with Industry & Corporate scaling:

• Agentic Workflows: Using the Agent Development Kit (ADK) to build autonomous business agents.
• Industry Solutions
• Secure AI: Implementing "Model Armor" and Input/Output shields for corporate data safety.
• Multi-Modal Apps: Building real-time voice/video AI applications with Gemini Live API.
• The "Agentic Founder": How startups can use AI to automate departments (Sales, Support, Research).

Speaker Conditions & Guidelines

Please read the following carefully before submitting:

• In-Person Requirement: This is a physical meetup in Harare. All speakers must be able to attend in person on April 11, 2026.
• Travel & Accommodation: Please note that GDG Harare is unable to provide financial support for travel, flights, or hotel accommodation. By submitting a proposal, you confirm that you can cover your own travel costs to the venue.
• Technical Level: We prefer intermediate to advanced technical content. "Intro to AI" talks are discouraged unless they provide a unique perspective on local industrial application.
• No Sales Pitches: While corporate alignment is a goal, sessions must be educational. Do not submit a session that is purely a product demo for a paid service without significant technical/educational takeaway.
