These community-organized events focus on learning, building, and connecting with fellow developers and tech practitioners. They offer a variety of activities, including technical talks, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Cloud@DevFest Kolkata is a community event for cloud enthusiasts and professionals. This event would bring expert speakers of the field to celebrate a day full of workshops, learning and much more.

Sessions for Cloud @ Devfest Kolkata can cover a variety of topics as long as they include some component of Cloud usage, agnostic to Cloud service providers. Everyone is welcome to make submissions for any audience level. 

Sessions that strongly include Cloud technologies will be given preference, but we shall try to cover as many technologies as possible.


Who Should Submit?

We encourage everyone passionate about Google Cloud to submit a proposal. We are especially interested in hearing from underrepresented groups in the tech industry.

  • Google Cloud experts (Consultants, Engineers, Architects, Developers)
  • Business leaders with Google Cloud experience
  • Community advocates and cloud enthusiasts
  • Students and researchers exploring cloud computing


Topics of Interest:

  • Technical Deep Dives: Specific Google Cloud services, tools, architectures (e.g., BigQuery, Kubernetes, Anthos)
  • Real-World Case Studies: Successful implementations, challenges overcome, lessons learned
  • Innovative Solutions: Creative uses of Google Cloud to solve problems
  • Best Practices: Optimizing cloud infrastructure, security, cost efficiency
  • Emerging Trends: AI/ML, data analytics, serverless computing, sustainability


Submission Guidelines:

  • Topic: Clear and concise session title
  • Abstract: 200-300 words summarizing your presentation
  • Target Audience: Level of expertise (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
  • Takeaways: Key learnings attendees will gain
  • Speaker Bio: Your experience and background (100 words)


Talk Format:

Indicate your preferred format:

  • Talk: Upto 40-minute in-depth presentation
  • Workshop: Upto 60-minute hands-on session


Submission Notes:

  2. We will notify selected speakers for further communication.
  3. Even if your proposal is not selected, we encourage you to attend the event.
  4. Limited travel/accommodation support may be available for selected speakers.
