Cloud Native Denmark is the premier community-driven conference for practitioners building with cloud native technologies.

Over the course of two days we will share stories of people using cloud native technologies, both successes and failures - through in-depth technical talks, demonstrations of open source projects and workshops.

We are excited to welcome back our community in person, and we look forward to getting as many CFP submissions as possible! Please read the guidelines and questions below carefully if you are thinking of submitting.

Should you have more questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at cfp@cloudnativedenmark.dk

First-time speaker?

We actively encourage first-time speakers to submit! You don't need to be a chief architect or industry veteran. What matters most is having an interesting angle, a unique perspective, or a compelling story to tell about your experience with cloud native technologies.

If your proposal is accepted, we're here to support you. Our program committee is happy to help review your slides, refine your presentation, and provide guidance to help you deliver a great talk. Community-driven conferences like ours are the perfect place to start your speaking journey.

Submission Details

Talks are either 35 minutes in length, including Q&A (which is completely optional) or lightning talks of 5 minutes - it is also possible to submit proposals for workshops. Talk sessions can include up to 2 speakers, and topics should be relevant to the current state of the Kubernetes and cloud native ecosystem.

We definitely do not expect every presentation to have code snippets and technical deep-dives. That said, there are two things that you should avoid when preparing your proposal:

  1. Sales or Marketing Pitches
  2. Unlicensed or Potentially Closed-Source Technologies

There are plenty of ways to give a presentation about projects and technologies without focusing on company-specific efforts. Let’s give room to the community!

What information should you include?

Please endeavour to address some or all of the following points:

  • What benefit/value does your talk bring to the Kubernetes and/or cloud native ecosystem? (Really, make sure to give this your best!)
  • What do you hope the audience will learn from your talk?
  • What perspective or experience will you bring to this topic? If you have a unique experience we would love to hear it!

How we select talks

Every submission is reviewed by our program committee. Here's what we're looking for:

  • Real stories from practitioners - We love hearing what actually happened in production. The wins, the struggles, the lessons learned.
  • Strong introductory content - Cloud native is constantly evolving, making us all perpetual learners. We highly value well-crafted introduction talks on new or emerging topics. These talks are especially valuable to our community, but they must be engaging and insightful - offer perspectives, real-world context, and practical wisdom that goes beyond what someone could find in an online tutorial.
  • Content that helps the community - Whether that's helping newcomers get started, guiding engineers through complex challenges, or deep technical dives for the experienced crowd.
  • A balanced program - We aim for variety across topics, so don't assume a subject is "too basic" or "too niche" to submit.

A note on your proposal itself: A well-crafted submission matters. We can't select talks we don't understand. Avoid one-paragraph summaries that leave us guessing, but also avoid walls of text that bury the point. Tell us clearly what you'll cover and why it matters.

We typically accept around one-third of submissions, and we offer feedback on rejections. We strive to review all submissions and notify speakers of our decisions within 2-3 weeks after the submission deadline.

Speaker Benefits

All speakers receive a free conference pass. We usually host a speakers dinner. Materials from all talks get published (please let us know if you would prefer your talk is not published).
