Cloud & Code Oost

planned future dates

12 Nov 2026

location

Covadis Doetinchem, The Netherlands

Cloud & Code Oost is a new meetup for developers, DevOps engineers, cloud engineers and other IT professionals in the eastern part of the Netherlands.

The meetup is hosted by Sander ten Brinke and Hans Muns. It's sponsored by IT companies in the eastern part of The Netherlands that share the same passion as the hosts, which means sharing and caring for the community! Each edition takes place at a different sponsor's office.

We focus primarily on the Microsoft ecosystem — including .NET, Azure and related technologies — but we also look beyond Microsoft. AI, software development, architecture, DevOps, cloud infrastructure and other relevant technology topics are all welcome.

We manage attendees and event registrations via Luma.

Currently there's only 1 date planned on Sessionize. We aim to host 3-4 meetups per year, the next one somewhere in February 2027.

Default Evening schedule (Depends on sponsor)

17:30 – 18:30 – Dinner
18:30 – Welcome
18:40 – 20:25 – Two talks, with a break in between
20:25 – 22:00 – Networking

Who is the audience?

Our audience will include developers, DevOps engineers, cloud engineers and other IT professionals, as well as students and hobbyists.

Some attendees may be just starting their careers, while others may have many years of experience. Talks can therefore range from introductory and hands-on sessions to deeper technical dives.

Talks are in Dutch by default. If a speaker prefers English, or the audience calls for it, we can switch to English.

New to speaking?

That's absolutely fine.

We're not only looking for experienced conference speakers. We'd also like to give people who have little or no stage experience an opportunity to share something they're passionate about.

You don't need a polished conference talk. If you have an interesting topic, project, technical challenge or lesson learned, get in touch. We can help you shape the idea into a talk.

Interested?

Send us a short description of your proposed talk, along with a little information about yourself.

You don't need to have everything figured out yet. A rough idea is enough to start a conversation.

Come share what you've learned, meet other people in tech, and help us build a strong developer community in the east of the Netherlands.

We'd love to hear from you!

What are we looking for?

We're interested in practical, technical talks that give attendees something to take home and try themselves.

For example:

  • .NET and modern software development
  • Azure and cloud architecture
  • DevOps and CI/CD
  • AI and AI-assisted development
  • Software architecture and engineering practices
  • Cloud infrastructure and platform engineering
  • Developer tooling
  • Lessons learned from real-world projects
  • Interesting technical experiments or side projects
  • Other topics relevant to developers and IT professionals

You don't have to work with Microsoft technologies to speak at Cloud & Code Oost. If it's technically interesting and relevant to our audience, we'd love to hear your idea.

We're particularly interested in talks that are:

Technical — show us how things actually work.
Practical — give people knowledge they can use.
Experience-driven — share what you learned from building, deploying or troubleshooting something.
Honest — failures and lessons learned are just as interesting as success stories.

This is a community meetup, not a sales event. No product pitches or sales presentations.

Format & language

The evening has two talks. A session lasts 45 minutes including questions; a lightning talk lasts 20 minutes. Please reserve at least 5 minutes for questions.

Talks are in Dutch by default, but English is welcome if you prefer it or if the audience calls for it.

What we provide

Internet
HDMI cable
Audio (microphone)

Dinner is provided before the talks start, from 17:30.

We do NOT cover flights. Hotel coverage heavily depends on the situation.
