Codegarden is the biggest International Umbraco conference in the world, organized by Umbraco HQ - the company behind the Umbraco CMS.
We want Codegarden to be an interactive and innovative experience for developers and everyone working with Umbraco. To do this, our goals are to give current and future Umbracians from around the world a chance to be informed and inspired and to create a space where they can share knowledge among Umbraco professionals. Moreover, Codegarden is the best place to connect, share ideas, and attend great sessions ranging from general topics to niche technical sessions, and inspiring real-life case studies.
Who can join the Codegarden stage?
It’s our goal to make this year’s Codegarden program exceptional! That’s where we need your help. We want to hear from developers, designers, and tech practitioners from every corner of the Umbraco ecosystem. Whether you have a great in-depth technical session targeting developers in mind, a creative session targeting designers or content creators, or a case study that’ll wow the broader Codegarden audience - the Codegarden stage is the place to present it!

Talk Submission Guidance
We’re seeking engaging, informative sessions for Umbraco enthusiasts that captivate and resonate with our audience of developers. This includes anything from regular tech talks to case studies, live demos, and anything in between.
Speakers may submit up to three talk proposals.
Include a bio and a high-quality speaker photo with your submission. The bio (around 600 characters) should include your name, pronouns (if you wish to disclose these), job title, organization, expertise, and a personal touch.
Craft a compelling session title and description with clear takeaways. Use the notes field for any unique needs or additional details.
The information you provide is what the speaker-jury will base their decision on.
Ineligible Submissions
While we encourage diverse ideas, please note that promotional talks, pitches, and proposals that are not in line with our Code of Conduct will not be included.
All talks at Codegarden are live, meaning that all speakers must be able to join in person.
Session Length and Event Format
Codegarden is a hybrid event, live-streamed for online attendees with two options: a free ticket with limited content or a full-access paid ticket.
Recordings
The 45-minute sessions will be available on the Umbraco YouTube channel by the end of August 2025. For paid ticket holders, the recordings will be available right after each talk in the event app during Codegarden.
Workshops are not recorded nor published.
Speaker Selection Process
Our diverse Umbraco speaker committee will read through each submission. Top-rated submissions proceed to a second round of review, where final selections will depend on available time slots and topic diversity. While we’d love to accept as many talks as possible, we can’t guarantee slots for all highly-rated proposals.
Speaker Benefits
Selected speakers for a 45 min talk or a workshop will receive:
Lightning talk speakers (10 min talks) receive coaching access and a free Codegarden ticket with social activities but are not eligible for travel and accommodation coverage.
Submission Support
For any help with your submission, please contact Marilou from the Umbraco Events Team at mln@umbraco.dk.
