Cosmobash 2025

What is Cosmobash?

Cosmobash (formerly SAND - School Astronomy Networking Dinner) is Singapore's largest gathering of astronomy enthusiasts from across educational institutions. The event brings together students from secondary schools, junior colleges, polytechnics, and universities alongside industry professionals to celebrate astronomy, showcase innovations, and build lasting connections.

Why 2025 Matters

2025 marks Singapore's 60th anniversary (SG60), and Cosmobash will highlight our nation's journey in space and astronomy education over six decades. This special edition will showcase how far we've come and inspire the next generation of Singaporean astronomers and space scientists.

Event Format

Cosmobash employs a dynamic multi-zone approach that goes beyond traditional conference formats:

* Main Stage - Featured keynotes and panel discussions from industry experts
* Technical Zone - Hands-on demonstrations and workshops with astronomical equipment
* Art & Creative Zone - Space-inspired art installations and astrophotography
* Networking Hub - Connect with institutions, organizations, and potential mentors
* Discussion Forums - Collaborative spaces for astronomy topics and future initiatives
* Evening Star Gazing - Weather permitting, we'll end with telescope observations

The event includes a catered networking dinner that brings everyone together in an informal setting to build connections that last beyond the event.

Who Should Submit?

We welcome submissions from:
* Students with astronomy projects or research
* Educators with innovative teaching approaches
* Researchers with accessible presentations
* Industry professionals sharing career insights
* Artists connecting astronomy and creative expression

Our multi-track format welcomes both technical and non-technical presentations that can engage our diverse audience ranging from secondary school astronomy beginners to university researchers.
