Cover6 Community is a free, hands-on cybersecurity community for beginners, career changers, and early-career practitioners. We meet online most Wednesdays at 6:00 PM ET, streamed live on YouTube to our chapters in the DMV, Atlanta, and South Florida, with a monthly in-person Meet & Greet in Arlington, VA.
This is the place to give your first talk. We save stage time for first-time and early-career speakers, and anyone who wants one gets a coach: someone who has already spoken with us.
Experienced practitioners are welcome too. Bring a talk or a hands-on demo, or sit down with Tyrone E. Wilson for a live interview about your path.
Every session is recorded, and the replay stays on the Cover6 Solutions YouTube channel, so your talk keeps working for you long after the night.

For Cybersecurity Awareness Month we’re handing the stage to three to five first-time speakers, 5 to 15 minutes each, streamed live to our DMV, Atlanta, and South Florida chapters. Every speaker is paired with a coach who has already spoken at Cover6. Apply by Sunday, October 11: submit a lightning talk below and pick October 28 as your preferred date.
What we're looking for
Practical, beginner-friendly sessions people can use the next day. Technical or career-focused, as long as it's clear and actionable.

SOC and blue team, penetration testing, cloud security, GRC and compliance, incident response, threat intelligence, home labs and tools, and breaking into cyber.
What happens next
We review submissions on a rolling basis and reply to every one. If you'd like a coach, say so in the form and we'll pair you with someone who has spoken at Cover6 before.
