  • Cloud/Infrastructure – Sessions across this category will prepare attendees to deploy and manage cloud and infrastructure solutions tailored for their users’ needs.
  • Project Management – Sessions will show attendees how to manage software development projects with success.
  • Requirements – Solid software depends on solid requirements; these sessions will provide guidance on how to develop solid requirements so the team can build solid software.
  • Soft Skills – These sessions will help attendees become better people which will help them be better software development professionals.
  • Software Testing – Sessions will show how to implement the best software test methodologies to help ensure the attendees’ teams deliver the best quality product possible.
  • User Experience – No one wants to use software that is visually unappealing and/or hard to use, these sessions will provide information on how to build applications that users will want to use.

Wednesday, August 19, 2020 will be our pre-conference day where we will be offering our attendees half-day (3-hour) and full-day (6-hour) workshops. Thursday, August 20, 2020 and Friday, August 21, 2020 will be our primary conference days where we offer as many quality 60-minute sessions as we can fill into those days.

If You Are Selected as a Speaker

All speakers get a single free ticket to attend all three days of the conference. We also will cover 2 nights (3 nights for pre-conference workshop speakers) of your hotel room at the Hyatt Regency Louisville. We pay the hotel directly, you do not have to wait for a reimbursement.

Please let us know if you have any special requirements and we will try to accommodate. Please remember that this is a community conference brought to you by volunteers in our industry – your peers.

We Can Help

Not everyone is a natural talent on stage; not everyone can produce out of the world slide decks; not everyone is a demo king/queen; and not everyone know that they have something great to talk about. There are a million reasons why you do not consider yourself a speaker, but we are here to prove you wrong. If all you have is a gut feeling that you should be on stage, we are here to help you develop and hone the skills you think you lack to deliver a great presentation.

Here are some things we can help you out with:

  • We are happy to brainstorm your interest to see if a great topic is hiding
  • We are happy to connect you with experience speakers to help you prepare your submission
  • We are happy to review and advise on how to produce your slide deck
  • If you need to practice your talk, get in touch and we can try to hook you up with a local group that will allow you to practice in front a smaller, friendly crowd
  • Whatever else you might need, we are here to help

Get in touch with us at speakers@codepalousa.com and we’ll see what we can do to help.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Code PaLOUsa is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks. Conference participants violating these rules maybe sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
