DataEngBytes! is a community conference centred on real world data engineering problems and solutions.
We will have four days of in-person conferences in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane & Perth
Talks
Our talks are designed to be bite-sized and suitable for in-person and online formats:
- 15 minute lightning talk for up-and-coming speakers
- 30 minutes (including Q&A)
We are looking for:
We want to have a data engineering conference for data engineers. We want to hear from you, and share your real world data engineering. Do you have a great story to tell that will interest a data engineer?
Data at rest - data warehouses, data lakes, data storage, data lakehouses
Data in motion - event and streaming architectures, batch processing architectures, IoT, data orchestration
Data we share - data contracts, teams, topologies, access management
Data we value - fin-ops & cloud costs, picking technology
Data we understand - data modelling, metric & semantic layer
Data for machine learning - MLOps, model deployment & monitoring, model serving & inference, data artefacts & feature stores
Data we trust - data discovery & provenance, data testing, data quality, data observability, ethics, security, compliance, CI/CD
We are looking for a range of stories and real-world experiences from working on your side projects through to enterprise level applications. Share your learnings, experiences and best practices with us.
As this is an in-person conference all selected talks will be provided with guidelines on how to present your talk before the conference.
Mentoring, Review and Coaching
Are you a first time speaker? We have mentors who are happy to review your submissions and give you advice! Nervous about speaking and want someone to coach you? We have experienced speakers who are happy to assist you.
Email mentoring@dataengconf.com.au to tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll introduce you to one of our great mentors.
Timeline
The CFP is open from the 20th of March until the 31st of May.
This is an in-person event and talks will be delivered as such.
