Gamers, developers, data wizards, and AI dreamers — it’s time to grab your controller, because Data & AI Community Day Durban: Ready Player 2 – Augment Yourself with AI Superpowers is happening on October 11, 2025, hosted at the vibrant Richfield College Umhlanga Campus. 🚀
This event is all about levelling up yourself with AI. Just like pressing “Start” on a new game unlocks fresh powers, we’ll explore how AI can boost your abilities — whether you’re a hardcore coder, a business analyst, a database architect, or just curious about the hype. From agentic AI to Microsoft Fabric, from real-time streaming with Kafka to MCPs, and from Power Platform magic to deep database mastery, this day will show you how to play smarter, not harder.
Expect a jam-packed agenda with a mix of 50-minute deep dives and 20-minute lightning sessions, delivered by industry experts, Microsoft MVPs, and community heroes. Our community thrives on diverse perspectives — so whether your session is a “boss fight” technical deep dive or a “side quest” showcasing real-world use cases, you’ll find a place here.
And yes — it’s all happening in-person, because the best power-up is networking face-to-face. Expect great talks, plenty of learning, and the kind of hallway conversations that spark collaborations long after the event is done.
NOTE-1: Our "long" sessions are 50 minutes. This is to make scheduling easier.
NOTE-2: This is an in-person event. We do not have the facilities to live stream.
The Azure, AI/ML & Data Community Durban group is a user group for the community by the community. It is a learning experience where we share, learn, and encourage the community to leverage Azure, AI/ML, and Data to solve problems. Our mission as a group is to empower and create heroes of society through Azure, AI/ML, and Data. We Do Positive Things through innovation and passion.
