The data community comes to dbt Summit to be inspired, engaged, and educated. They want learn how to scale their data organization, see how to bring conversational analytics to their organization, bring home playbooks to improve the developer experience, and connect with their data peers. 

Share your story at dbt Summit 2026, the world’s largest gathering of dbt community to share the future of analytics engineering. We are looking for presenters with a broad range of experience and expertise and are committed to building an inclusive event that reflects the diverse dbt community. We’re especially interested in proposals about:

• Analytics engineering in practice
• Platform scale, reliability, and governance
• Cost optimization and efficiency
• AI readiness, agents, and structured context
• Developer experience and productivity
• Organizational change and operating models

Types of sessions you can submit through the CFP:

• Breakout sessions: 30-minute knowledge sharing sessions hosted by speakers from all over the dbt Community. Sessions may be delivered as a single speaker or co-presenter breakout, 3-person max panel.
• Peer Exchange: 60-minute interactive discussion and knowledge sharing on topics of specific interest to the dbt community.

Here are a few tips on how to deliver a great proposal:

• Be authentic. Express the ideas and concepts in your own words based on lived experience. Steer clear of jargon.
• Give your proposal a clear and concise title. Keep it focused on a single topic.
• Think about who’s in the audience watching this presentation. How will they get value from this presentation?
• Avoid promotional content. No product or marketing pitches, please.
• Tailor your content for a professional and knowledgeable audience.
• Clearly articulate the value attendees will gain from attending your presentation. Keep your proposal short but don’t leave out the specifics.

The talk proposal you submit should demonstrate ample forethought. The more concrete you can be, the more chance your talk will make an impression on the dbt community. Don't get hung up on making it pretty now—we'll work with you on delivery.

Pitch your idea

If you have an idea and need some feedback, share your ideas in #dbt-summit-pitch-party in the dbt Community Slack. This is a Slack channel that allows speakers to crowdsource ideas and get feedback from the dbt Community before submitting a proposal.
