DDD South West is a free conference held in central Bristol on a Saturday at the Engine Shed, near Bristol Temple Meads train station. It’s intended for both new and experienced speakers. We don’t record any talks, and we invite all attendees to share anonymous feedback with speakers.

We welcome talks of varying lengths, with 15-minute lightning talks, 30-minute mid-length sessions, and 60-minute deep dives for more in-depth topics that need time to explore properly.

Speakers are welcome to submit a talk on any development or development-adjacent topic, and we’ll do our best to accommodate any special requirements. We’d especially love to include topics such as mental health, neurodiversity, and inclusivity in tech. We expect all speakers and attendees to abide by our code of conduct, as listed on our website.
