We're looking for shorter talks (between 15-25 minutes) with a focus on practical lessons for DevOps practitioners. Be creative, be delightful -- Animal Crossing is a delightful place, so let's reflect that in our submissions!

• Tell us a story about how you improved morale, or started a new tradition.
• What's a new technology that we should all be aware of? How did it change the way you worked?
• What are some fun traditions your team has, and where did they come from?
• How can we learn DevOps in this new and changing world?

These are some prompts to get you thinking, but we'll evaluate all submissions for inclusion. Talks should be of general interest to a wide audience of developers at varying skill levels.

Format

Each speaker will have a 30-minute session. This includes live Q&A. If you wish to have slides accompany your talk, this is possible (see this page for more info) but if you can make it work using in-game props, that'd be cool too.

Requirements

You must:

• Have the ability to dial into a Zoom meeting and present your slides live on the day of the event.
• Be able to attend both a test session the week before and your scheduled speaking time on the day of the event.
• Agree to the Deserted Island DevOps Code of Conduct

You should:

• Have a Nintendo Switch and copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It's preferable if you can actually be "virtually in person" on the island during the presentation. However, this requirement may be waived (we understand not everyone has the money for a Switch and stuff, and we can't provide one, so...)
