DevFest is an annual tech conference hosted by Google Developer Groups across the globe.

GDG Akure is open to accepting great talk sessions for DevFest 2023.

DevFest 2023 is an in-person happening on the 2nd of December 2023 and you’re encouraged to apply either as an experienced or first-time speaker.

If you’re interested, DevFest Akure 2023 is the event where you get to share your knowledge, experience and connect with the fast-growing community.

We are interested in sessions across these topics :

Important Points to Consider

You can apply for technical sessions (~30/35 min) or lightening sessions (~10/15mins)

We expect your session to be in English. Bits of pidgin English/slang is permitted as long as the audience relates.

GDG Events promote diversity, and inclusion, and support underrepresented groups in tech and we are always looking forward to your submissions.

Proposals receive equal reviews, and speakers are vetted before the final selection. We will reach out to selected speakers with subsequent information including a mandatory presentation slide template, along with other details that will be provided.

Tips for Your Application.

Content is Vital — If you really want to impress the DevFest audience, pack your presentation with powerful and relevant content.

Make it compelling — The DevFest audience is composed of people from various walks of life and tech experts from beginners to experts. We advise that you consider the audience’s stance in your presentation

Be authentic and vulnerable — We understand the tides and rides. Don’t be afraid to speak of your failures as well as your success.

Customize — Be sure your content truly speaks to the association audience and is customized to their unique situations.

Notes

Presentations must be educational. We understand that you may wish to network with attendees and showcase your services, but we kindly ask that your presentation not be a sales pitch.
