The Greater Boston GDGs are seeking speakers for DevFest 2025.

Note: This event will be run by volunteers and will be free to attendees. We cannot provide speaker remuneration, nor travel funds.

We will be running concurrently Track talks and Workshops. We are seeking workshop leaders at both introductory and advanced levels.  

Track talks: Length 30 to 45 minutes, including Q&A

Preference will be given to talks that are of interest to both business and technical audiences.

Please provide an abstract of 250-300 words

Areas of Interest:

  • Impact of AI on Industry, for example impact on biotech and pharma, impact on financial services, impact on supply chains
  • Beyond the ChatBot. How is AI used to truly transform business processes within a company?
  • Moving from PoC and pilots to Production use of AI: The role of AI Engineering
  • Security of Agentic AI Development frameworks (including MCP)
  • Data-Centric AI & The Impact of Data on AI Evaluation metrics
  • Better AI through integration with Knowledge Graphs

  • Web development
  • Google Workspace
  • Android and Mobile


Workshops: Length up to 90 minutes, inclusive of Google Cloud sign-in and Q&A

For workshops, the emphasis will be to get developer "hands on keyboards"  Provide a workshop description of 250-300 words and indicate how you will assist developers to connect to Google Cloud.

Workshops should include provisioning of Google Cloud resources, by one of 3 mechanisms:

Instrumentless access to Google Cloud Console ($5 credit for 5 days), SkillsBoost access for 6 months ( for specific learning paths), CoLab notebooks. The DevFest leaders will provide support for the first 2 options, which are preferred. CoLab notebooks are an acceptable, but not preferred, option.


Introductory Workshops  - Example topics:

  • Building your first agent: A gentle introduction to ADK
  • Grounding LLM responses with RAG (include discussion of RAG, advanced RAG, and other grounding techniques)
  • Vibe-coding: What is it and what is it good for?


Advanced workshops - Example topics:

  • Building a multi-agent application with ADK
  • Transitioning from another agent development framework (eg LangGraph or CrewAI) to ADK
  • Building a Data Science Agent
