DevFest Bujumbura 2025 is a one-day, in-person event designed to inspire, educate, and connect Burundi’s tech community. This year, we’re focusing on "Building Safe, Secure, and Scalable Solutions" exploring how AI, Cloud, cybersecurity, and innovation can drive impactful change in our local and global ecosystems.
We’re looking for passionate speakers, developers, engineers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry leaders, to share their expertise, insights, and real-world experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or an emerging voice, if you have knowledge to share, we want to hear from you!
Our audience includes students, young professionals, developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts eager to learn about cutting-edge technologies, best practices, and actionable strategies. Your session should be engaging, practical, and aligned with our theme, helping attendees walk away with new skills, ideas, and inspiration.

We’re accepting proposals for talks, workshops, and panels that align with our key thematic areas:
- AI & Machine Learning
- Cloud Technologies & DevOps
- Cybersecurity & Data Privacy
- Web & Mobile Development
- InnovatiTech Entrepreneurship
- Career Growth & Community Building
- Emerging Technologies (IoT, blockchain, edge computing, etc.)
Speaking slots are limited and competitive. We’ll prioritize sessions that:
- Are original and authentic - no generic content.
- Are free of sales pitches - focus on education, not promotion.
- Include a detailed session description (at least one medium-to-long paragraph) - this is required for consideration.
- Offer clear takeaways for attendees.
Accepted formats:
- Codelabs & hands-on workshops
- Software demos & technical deep dives
- Study jams & collaborative learning sessions
- Non-technical talks (career growth, community building, etc.)
Languages: Sessions can be in French or English.
