This year we’ll be introducing a theme to DevFest - Responsible AI. We invite you to explore the possibilities and discuss how we can build and use AI in a fair, ethical, and responsible way.Â
You can either submit a talk (~20/40 min) or a workshop (~2 hours). If you'd like to use a different format mention that in the form and we can talk it over :)
You can also submit the form multiple times if you have multiple topics and we will pick what suits the event best. You don't need to write your bio multiple times, just mention that it is not your first submission.
If you are not sure whether your topic is relevant or interesting enough, have a look at this year's areas of interest. You are doing this for a community, therefore mind its interests.
There's no limit to how many submissions you can send.
We are looking for all kind of topics for sessions, but they should fall within one of the following:
Tech talk: a session about strictly technical matters
Soft talk: a session about non-strictly technical matters (we especially enjoy soft skills, inclusion, and diversity, but feel free to submit anything)
Workshop: usually a hands-on lab in which the speaker teaches a technology, framework or language to the audience who will be able to follow along and interactively ask questions to the speaker. We also accept "soft" workshops.
If you feel like your session doesn't fall within any of the above categories, please contact us!
We will accept talks in one of the following formats:
Lightning: 10+5 (Q&A) minutes session, for tech and soft talks
Short: 20+5 minutes session, for tech and soft talks
Full: 40+5 minutes session, for tech and soft talks
Long: 1, 2 or 3 hours session, only workshops
You will have someone in the room with you to help you with staying on schedule, but we will ask you to be mindful about the time and to always leave 5 minutes at the end for Q&A which we consider a very important part of the session.
