Thank you very much for your interest in speaking at DevFest Dar es Salaam! 

DevFest Dar es Salaam will take place on December 3rd 2022 at (to be confirmed ). We have the vision to be more of a festival than yet another conference. 

You can either submit a talk (~20/40 min) or a workshop (~2 hours). If you'd like to use a different format mention that in the form and we can talk it over :) 

You can also submit the form multiple times if you have multiple topics and we will pick what suits the event best. You don't need to write your bio multiple times, just mention that it is not your first submission. 

If you are not sure whether your topic is relevant or interesting enough, have a look at this year's areas of interest. You are doing this for a community, therefore mind its interests. We are interested in the following topics:

Why is it cool to speak at DevFest Dar es salaam?

🎁 Free entry to the whole conference

💪 Exposure of up to 200 developers on site

😎 You get to impact a whole community of aspiring developers and future change makers

📹 We will record your talk and publish it on YouTube for additional exposure (The video might be incorporated in the official Google Developers Website and channel)

👍 We will work with you to make the best presentation – we will share some tips before the conference and give you feedback from attendees after the conference

Deadlines:

📅 1 Dec 2022 – Call for Speakers form closes

📅 2 Dec 2022  – by this date everybody should know about the result

We are interested in experience-based talks. We will not accept proposals that are:

🚫 Repetitive documentation without your experience/lessons learned.

🚫 Pitching/selling a company or a product. It's OK to mention your company, but it shouldn't be the main focus.

🚫 Repetition of a topic which you've already delivered and can be found online. 

🚫 Stolen presentations.
