The DevFest Johannesburg is in Google Cloud's first cloud region in Africa and will be nothing short of amazing. We are looking at 500 attendees, multiple tracks.
DevFest is Google's signature community-led developer conference series, bringing together local developer communities worldwide to learn, connect, and build together. As one of the largest distributed tech conferences globally, DevFest events showcase the latest in Google technologies whilst celebrating the diversity and innovation of local tech ecosystems.

WE would like to conclude all speaker selections and communication by 22 September 2025 and all slides must be ready in advance by 30 September for the approved sessions. We will have workshops that will give the speaker our audience data to help them be successful.
Who We’re Looking For:
Builders who have shipped real projects and can share their practical journey with our community.
Session Types:
Tech Talks (30 minutes): Share your building journey, challenges faced, solutions crafted, and lessons learnt
Workshops (60 minutes): Lead hands-on sessions where attendees build something tangible during the session
Interactive Demos (45 minutes): Demonstrate your project through live interactions where participants can experiment and engage
Technical Focus:
Primary: Google technologies (GCP, Firebase, Flutter, TensorFlow, Angular, Google AI/Vertex AI), AI/ML, web, mobile, and cloud
Secondary: Open source technologies, developer tools and ui/ux design.
What We Want:
Concrete examples, code snippets, and architecture decisions
Honest reflections on what worked and what didn’t
Actionable insights attendees can apply immediately
Real-world projects that inspire others to start building
