DevFest KC is ran by GDG Kansas City, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education in software technologies. This one-day conference is focused on providing quality content from a mix of local and non-local experts, targeting both software development students and professionals, and an engaging experience for one of the lowest costs in the area.
While we don't have strict limits on topics, we do try to categorize sessions into the following categories:
We're open to submissions for any level of expertise. The most popular sessions are typically either introductory or speak to a specific use-case. When submitting, be specific about the topic and whether it is generalized or specialized.
We typically have three tracks filled with 50-minute presentations and 2- to 3-hour hands-on workshops. For workshops, attendees should be able to use a computer to follow along and build something alongside the presenter.
All attendees, speakers, and volunteers are expected to act in accordance to our Code of Conduct: https://devfestkc.com/code-of-conduct
You can see our 2024 schedule and details on our website. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.
We aren't able to cover travel expenses through our event funding. If you're a Google Developer Expert, you are able to submit your request for expenses to Google directly.
