We are thrilled to open the Call for Speakers for DevFest KC 2026! We are looking for passionate individuals to share their expertise, stories, and technical deep-dives with the Kansas City tech community.

Topics & Tracks

To help us build a balanced schedule, please align your submission with one of our core tracks:

  • Mobile (Android, iOS, Flutter, etc.)
  • Web (Angular, React, Architecture, etc.)
  • Cloud / Backend (GCP, Firebase, Architecture, etc.)
  • AI / Machine Learning
  • UI / UX & Design
  • Career / Community

A Note on AI: Since AI touches everything, we ask that you categorize your talk based on the platform first. If you are building a smart feature in Flutter, submit it under "Mobile." Save the "AI/ML" track for deep dives into model training, prompt engineering, and core AI architecture.

Technical Levels

We welcome submissions for all experience levels. You will be asked to rate your session's technical depth:

  • Introductory (100 level): Fundamentals, concepts, and getting started.
  • Intermediate (200 level): Applied code, architecture, and specific use-cases.
  • Advanced (300 level): Deep technical dives, complex problem-solving, and edge cases.
  • Non-technical: Resume writing, personal growth, career development

Session Formats

We typically have two or three tracks filled with standard 50-minute presentations and a dedicated space for 2- to 3-hour hands-on workshops. For workshops, attendees must be able to use a laptop to follow along and build alongside you.

All attendees, speakers, and volunteers are expected to act in accordance with our Code of Conduct.

You can view our past schedules and event details on our archived website. If you have any questions or need submission advice, feel free to reach out!
