Not sure of what topic to talk about?

This year's DevFest explores how AI can improve lives globally, from business to healthcare to education. We acknowledge AI's potential, while also recognising the challenges it presents. Google is committed to helping you build and use AI responsibly, ensuring fairness and ethical practices.

Why discuss responsible AI at DevFest?

AI is being woven into all of the products we use in our day-to-day lives - both professionally and personally. Therefore discussing AI at DevFest is important due to its growing complexity and impact, requiring careful reflection of its development and application. The developer community is crucial in ensuring AI is used fairly and unbiasedly, preventing discriminatory outcomes and promoting equitable access to AI's benefits. By also welcoming those new to AI, DevFest provides an accessible learning environment, empowering a broader community to contribute diverse perspectives.

Safeguarding AI systems from malicious use is equally important, as the potential for misuse raises concerns about security, privacy, and societal well-being.

The complex nature of AI development further highlights the need for collaboration across diverse fields and stakeholders. By encouraging dialogue and collaboration, we can address the challenges posed by AI, ensuring its responsible development and deployment.
